Los Jaguares XV la segunda selección provincial argentina que está disputando el torneo de desarrollo de la Currie Cup sudafricana 2019, arrasó hoy por la quinta fecha a los South West District Eagles por 83-3 (38-3) en el Estadio Fanie du Toit Sportsground, de Potchefstroom, noroeste de Sudáfrica  y son semifinalistas cuando restan dos fechas por disputarse todavía. Hubo un festival de 13 tries argentinos, con sello cordobés: Leonel Oviedo (1), Ignacio Calás (1),  Juan Cruz Mallía (2) y Santiago Carreras (1), de los porteños Bautista Delguy (3), Julián Domínguez (2),  Nicolás Solveyra (1) y Lucas Santa Cruz (1) y del mendocino Gonzalo Bertranou (que hoy viaja a Salta para incorporarse al plantel de los Pumas), más 9 conversiones del apertura rosarino Martín Elías. Para los SWD Eagles, 1 penal del apertura Divan Nel. Por lo que los Jaguares XV entrenados por el porteño Ignacio Fernández Lobbe, el tucumano Diego Ternavasio y el cordobés Julio César García, tras disputar 5 partidos de manera invicta y con punto bonus, clasificaron con dos jornadas de antelación a las semifinales del campeonato de desarrollo sudafricano, la ‘’First’’ División de la Currie Cup 2019. El ganador de esta división de desarrollo sudafricano, la ‘’First División’’, se clasificará para jugar un partido, de repechaje, ante el último de la  ‘’Premier’’ Division de la Currie Cup, como  única chance de ascenso en la temporada.

Los Jaguares XV, the second Argentinian provincial team, that is competing in the development tournament of the South African Currie Cup 2019, destroyed the South West District Eagles on the fifth round by 83-3 (38-3) at the Fanie du Toit Sportsground Stadium, in  Potchefstroom, northwestern South Africa and are semi-finalists when there are two rounds remaining to be played. There was a festival of 13 Argentinians tries, with Córdoba stamp: Leonel Oviedo (1), Ignacio Calás (1), Juan Cruz Mallía (2), and Santiago Carreras (1), of the Buenos Aires players Bautista Delguy (3), Julián Domínguez (2), Nicolás Solveyra (1) and Lucas Santa Cruz (1) and Gonzalo Bertranou from Mendoza (who now travels to Salta City to join the Pumas squad), plus 9 conversions of  Martín Elías fly half from Rosario. For SWD Eagles, 1 penalty goal by fly half Divan Nel.

 

So the XV Jaguares coached by  Ignacio Fernández Lobbe from Buenos Aires, Diego Ternavasio from Tucumán and the Julio César García from Córdoba, after playing 5 games unbeaten and with bonus points, qualified two rounds before to the semifinals of the development championship South African, the ''First '' Division of the Currie Cup 2019. The winner of this South African development division, the '' First Division '', will qualify to play a game, as a playoff against the last of the  Currie Cup''Premier'' Division, as the only chance of promotion in the season.
