Exactamente a un mes, o 31 días, si lo prefiere, al kick-off del IX Campeonato Mundial 2019 en Japón, el mundo del rugby palpita el acto inaugural del viernes 20 de septiembre en el Estadio Tokio, donde el anfitrión,  Japón, enfrentará a Rusia por el Grupo A, 19:45 hora local (07:45  Arg.). Y al día siguiente, el sábado 21 de septiembre a las 04:15 (hora argentina) se producirá el debut de los Pumas en el Grupo C, enfrentando en el mismo estadio Tokio de la capital nipona, a Francia. Allí comenzarán las ilusiones de Argentina desafiando luego a Tonga, Inglaterra y Estados Unidos. Los Pumas enfrentarán el  28 de septiembre a Tonga en el Hanazono Rugby Stadium de Osaka a las 13:45 (01:45 en Argentina); el 5 de octubre a Inglaterra a las 17 (las 05:00 en Argentina) en el Tokyo Stadium; y el 9 de octubre, 13:45 (01:45) en final primera fase a Estados Unidos,  en el Prefectural Kumagaya Rugby Ground de Kumagaya. El torneo será la novena Copa del Mundo y el campeón saliente es Nueva Zelanda que cuenta con tres coronas en su haber: 1987, 2011 y 2015; mientras que Sudáfrica (1995 y 2007) y Australia (1991 y 1999) cuentan con dos, e Inglaterra conquistó el trofeo en 2003. Los All Blacks y los Springboks dos candidatos al título, abrirán las hostilidades el sábado 21 de septiembre en el Grupo B en el International Stadium de Yokohama (06:45 de Argentina), para ir abriendo el apetito y cuya degustación se prolongará hasta el sábado 2 de noviembre se dispute la final en el mismo recinto de Yokohama.

The Pumas will face Tonga on September 28 at the Hanazono Rugby Stadium in Osaka at 1:45 p.m. (1:45 p.m. in Argentina); on October 5 to England at 17 (05:00 in Argentina) at Tokyo Stadium; and on October 9, 1:45 p.m. (1:45 p.m.) in the first phase to the United States, at Kumagaya Rugby Ground in Kumagaya. The tournament will be the ninth World Cup and the outgoing champion is New Zealand that has three crowns to his credit: 1987, 2011 and 2015; while South Africa (1995 and 2007) and Australia (1991 and 1999) have two, and England conquered the trophy in 2003.
