Los Wallabies lograron su puntaje más alto contra los All Blacks al vencer a los bicampeones mundiales 47-26 (16-12) en la tercera y última fecha del VIII Rugby Championship reducido por el próximo mundial de Japón, y que se disputó en Perth, en el lejano oeste australiano donde estuvo en juego la Bledisloe Cup.  Fue la primera victoria desde 2017 para los Wallabies sobre los All Blacks, que disputaron todo el segundo tiempo con un hombre menos por tarjeta roja al segunda línea Scott Barrett, justo en el pitazo final antes del descanso. Los Wallabies marcaron 6 tries a 4 en éste triunfo que hundió a los All Blacks en el 4 Naciones. La contundente derrota de Nueva Zelanda, significa perder la conquista de la VIII Rugby Championship y el primer puesto en el ranking mundial por primera vez en 10 años, ya que Gales está lista al ‘’sorpasso’’  para ocupar el primer lugar, si le gana mañana a Inglaterra en el Principality de Cardiff. El wing Reece Hodge anotó dos de los seis tries de Australia que conquistó su mayor puntaje en 165 test-matches  contra los All Blacks. También marcaron tries el segunda línea Lukhan Salakaia-Loto, el medio scrum Nic White, el wing Marika Koroibete y el fullback Kurtley Beale, frente a la ovación de los 61,241 espectadores. El resonante triunfo le dio a Australia sus primeras victorias consecutivas en el Rugby Championship desde 2016, luego de haber ganado a Argentina por 16-10 en el Suncorp de Brisbane hace una semana. Hoy produjo 10’ iniciales excelentes, para la ventaja de 10-0 antes de dos tries de los All Blacks que pasaron en ventaja de 12-10. Dos penales del apertura Christian Lealiifano le dieron a los Wallabies una ventaja parcial de 16-12 al descanso, antes de que el segunda línea neozelandés Scott Barrett fuera sancionado con tarjeta roja por infracción al flanker australiano Michael Hooper. 

 Con incierto segundo tiempo para Nueva Zelanda, fue aprovechado por Australia para sumar 10 puntos en nueve segundos y medio minuto antes del try del full back  Beauden Barrett que acortó el pasivo All Blacks a 7 puntos. Pero tres tries locales, tuvieron respuesta solo en el try de Ngani Laumape. Australia tuvo la oportunidad de recuperar la Copa Bledisloe, que ganó por última vez en 2002. Ahora viene la revancha por la  Bledisloe Cup el próximo sábado en el Eden Park de Auckland. The Wallabies achieved their highest score against  All Blacks beating the two-time world champions by 47-26 (16-12) on the third and final round  of VIII Rugby Championship reduced by the next World Cup in Japan, which was played at Optus Stadium of Perth, in the australian far west where the Bledisloe Cup was at stake.

The Wallabies scored 6 tries to 4 in this win that plunged the All Blacks into the 4 Nations. The overwhelming defeat of New Zealand, means losing the conquest of VIII Rugby Championship and the first place in the world rankings for the first time in 10 years, since Wales is ready for the ``sorpasso'' to occupy the first place, if you tomorrow wins England at Principality of Cardiff. Wing Reece Hodge scored two of Australia's six tries that conquered its highest score in 165 test-matches against  All Blacks. They also scored tries the lock  Lukhan Salakaia-Loto,  scrum half Nic White, wing Marika Koroibete and  fullback Kurtley Beale, facing the ovation of the 61,241 spectators.
