Los Pumitas en el Ateneo de la Inmaculada de Santa Fe, reaccionaron ganando a Fidji por 41-14 en la segunda jornada clasificatoria a las semifinales de la XII Copa Mundial Juvenil M20, por lo que van con ilusión a disputar la tercera fecha del miércoles en el Hipódromo de Rosario ante el campeón saliente Francia que ganó con autoridad a Gales por 32-13, precisamente en Rosario.

Contra Francia para clasificarse primeros en el Grupo A, los Pumitas deben ganar por 8 puntos de diferencia, o por 7  o menos, pero deben sumar punto bonus, -que se logra al anotar tres tries más que el adversario. Los semifinalistas al título, surgirán de los tres primeros de cada grupo más el mejor segundo. Son pretendientes Australia, Nueva Zelanda, Sudáfrica y Francia.

Francia en el recinto rosarino, le ganó por 32-13 a Gales, para consolidar su primado en el Grupo A con 10 puntos, cuatro más que Argentina que viaja a Rosario con nuevos estímulos tras la victoria ante los isleños del Pacífico Sur, que concluirán su participación en el mundial juvenil enfrentando el miércoles a Gales que apunta a clasificar en la ciudad de Santa Fe.
