Argentina XV arrasó a Los Teros uruguayos y ganó el 4 Naciones Sudamericano – Los Cóndores chilenos subcampeones- Argentina XV swept the Uruguayan Los Teros and won the 4 South American Nations - The Chilean Condores runners-up-

 En medio de la pandemia COVID-19 Argentina XV se coronó campeona del Cuatro Naciones Sudamericano 2020, disputado en el mítico Estadio ‘’Charrúa’’ de la Ciudad de Montevideo, superando a Los Teros de Uruguay  53-19 (20-5). Los Cóndores de Chile fueron subcampeones al ganar a Los Tupis de Brasil por 26-13.

El torneo se disputó gracias la organización, y la  gestión de control sanitario del coronavirus Covid-19 por parte de las autoridades de la República Oriental del Uruguay, que registra el menor índice de víctimas fatales (53) en el Continente Americano,  desde Canadá  a Argentina.

Argentina XV fue campeón  invicto, escoltado por los Cóndores de Chile con dos triunfos, seguido de los Teros de Uruguay con un triunfo y de Los Tupis de Brasil que concluyeron sin victorias.

La selección argentina entrenada por el porteño Ignacio Fernández Lobbe, el cordobés Julio César García y el tucumano Diego Ternavasio, fue creciendo en técnica y destreza individual, comenzando de menor a mayor en cada una de las tres confrontaciones, siendo la más complicada ante los Cóndores de Chile..

Ante los Teros uruguayos, Argentina XV produjo siete tries, destacando el doblete del medio scrum cordobés Lautaro Bazán Vélez, el playmaker del plantel, y el doblete del hooker bonaerense Ignacio Ruiz,  que pusieron al equipo adelante ante Los Teros,  que encontraron grietas en la retaguardia argentina.

Los Cóndores subcampeones tras derrotar a los Tupis por 26-13

Los Cóndores de Chile fueron subcampeones del 4 Naciones Sudamericano, superando a Los Tupis de Brasil por 26-13 (13-10). El desafío comenzó con ventaja para Los Tupis con try de André Arruda convertido por Moisés Duque, y los  Cóndores replicaron con try  de Martín Sigren, convertido por Santiago Videla.

Con penales de Videla, los Cóndores ganaron el parcial por 13-10. Y en el complemento, con el duelo empatado 13-13, el XV trasandino marcó un try con  José Ignacio Larenas convertido por Santiago Videla, para el 20-13 y con penales de Urroz y Santi, el XV entrenado por el uruguayo Pablo Lemoine ganó 26-13.

In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, Argentina XV was crowned champion of the 2020 South American Four Nations, played at the mythical ‘’ Charrúa ’’ Stadium in the City of Montevideo, beating Los Teros of Uruguay 53-19 (20-5). The Cóndores of Chile were runners-up when they beat Los Tupis of Brazil 26-13.
