LOS PUMAS UNEN LOS HEMISFERIOS, AHORA JAPÓN LOS ESPERA EN TOKIO - PUMAS UNITE HEMISPHERES, NOW JAPAN WAITING IN TOKYO

Los Pumas unen los Hemisferios pasando del sur al norte sin escalas, ya que tras el choque con los Wallabies en Twickenham del 8 de octubre por la sexta y última fecha del Rugby Championship, enfrentarán antes de la ventana del otoño-invierno europeo a Japón el 5 de noviembre en Tokio, según lo anunció la agencia de noticias Kyodo.

Se trata para Argentina, de un compromiso fuera de la programación anual y antes de la gira por Gran Bretaña con debut el sábado 12 de noviembre ante Escocia en el Murrayfield de Edimburgo, luego el sábado 17 frente a Gales en el Millennium de Cardiff y finalmente el sábado 25 frente a Inglaterra en Twickenham, Londres.

Para el presidente de la JRFU Noriyuki Sakamoto, ‘’se trata de ver al equipo que tuvo el cuarto puesto finalista en la Copa del Mundo del año pasado y queremos darles la bienvenida en Japón con todo nuestro corazón, y junto con ellos, esperamos un excelente juego ante la selección nacional de Japón".

"Argentina se unió al Rugby Championship del Hemisferio Sur en 2012, y este año, con los Jaguares comenzó a jugar en el Super Rugby, por lo que está demostrando ser un país del que la comunidad de rugby de Japón tiene muchas cosas que aprender’’, sentenció Sakamoto.

En tal sentido resaltó: ‘’ "Argentina será digno oponente del primer partido para el nuevo entrenador Jamie Joseph, en un hito para el equipo nacional. Los Pumas están  séptimos en el mundo después de su victoria sobre Sudáfrica del pasado fin de semana y queremos asumir el desafío con orgullo en nosotros mismos como japoneses’’.

El neozelandés Jamie Joseph, tendrá bautismo de fuego tras el anuncio de hoy por la Unión Japonesa de Rugby,  de que su primer partido será contra Argentina, el próximo sábado 5 de noviembre en el Prince Chichibu Memorial Rugby Ground de Tokio a las 14:40 (las 02:40 en Argentina). El ex octavo de los All Blacks Jamie Joseph, asistido por el ex apertura All Black, Tony Brown, dejaron los Highlanders de Otago, a quienes condujeron a las semifinales del Super Rugby 18, perdiendo ante los Lions de Johannesburgo, para entrenar a Japón hasta el final de la Copa del Mundo de 2019.

Jamie Joseph fue octavo de Japón jugando 9 caps, la última contra Argentina, que ganó 33-12, guiada por el medio scrum Agustín Pichot,  en el Arms Park de Cardiff, el 16  de octubre de 1999, durante el Mundial de Gales1999.

Los ‘’Brave Blossoms’’  (las flores valientes), tras el partido con los Pumas en Tokio, enfrentarán en Europa a Georgia el 12 de noviembre, una semana después a Gales y el 26 de noviembre a Fiyi  en Vannes, Francia. Japón está décimosegundo en el mundo, mientras que Gales es quinto, y Fiyi décimo y Georgia undécimo.

 Mientras tanto, en Argentina se estima que el plantel de los Pumas no están contentos con volar a Tokio antes de viajar a Europa para la gira de tres semanas. Pero se estima de  hay un monto económico considerable por la excursión a la Tierra del Sol Naciente, y  se rumoreaba originalmente que había sido programado para un lugar en Europa.

En cinco confrontaciones Los Pumas ganaron cuatro, tres en Argentina y una en el Mundial de Gales 1999 . La victoria de Japón se remonta a 1998 cuando ganaron en el estadio de Chichibunomiya en Tokio por 44-29.

The 'Brave Blossoms'' (brave flowers), after the match with the Pumas in Tokyo, will face in Europe to Georgia on Nov. 12, a week after Wales and Fiji on November 26 in Vannes, France. Japan is twelfth in the world, while Wales is fifth, Fiji tenth and Georgia eleventh.

Meanwhile, in Argentina it is estimated that the Pumas squad are not happy about flying to Tokyo before traveling to Europe for three-week tour. But it is estimated there is considerable economic amount for the trip to the Land of the Rising Sun, and was originally rumored that had been scheduled for a place in Europe.

In five confrontations Los Pumas won four, three in Argentina and one in Wales in  World Cup 1999. Japan's victory dates back to 1998 when they won in Chichibunomiya Stadium in Tokyo by 44-29.
