Argentina XV se impuso a Uruguay por 18-8, en primer  partido de la Sudamérica Rugby Cup, disputado en Colonia del Sacramento y con aplicación de reglas experimentales de World Rugby. Bajo la lluvia y en complicado choque con los Teros, Los Pumas B marcaron dos tries en el primer tiempo con el segunda línea porteño Ignacio Larrague y el segundo en el complemento con el wing porteño Sebastián Cancelliere. El árbitro brasileño Henrique Platais utilizó el sistema de puntación que se quiere implementar en el futuro, con el try deja de valer 5 para tener 6 puntos; los penales y drops 2 puntos y la conversión sigue valiendo 2 puntos. Argentina XV con cuatro Dogos en cancha: el centro Joaquín Paz, el wing Franco Carrara, el pilar izquierdo Franco Brarda, y el pilar derecho Eduardo Bello, apoyó un try con line y maul; y otro con despliegue a la línea de backs.

El fullback platense  Pedro Mercerat sumó un penal de dos puntos dar cifras, mientras que Los Teros marcaron un try con el centro Andrés Vilaseca, convertido por el apertura Martín Secco. El próximo sábado Argentina XV visitará a los Cóndores en Santiago de Chile, para el partido conclusivo del torneo, y de allí la segunda selección nacional viajará a Rumania para disputar el Nations Cup en Bucarest del 11 al 18 de junio.

Argentina XV beat Uruguay by 18-8 in the first match of the South America Rugby Cup, played at Colonia del Sacramento and with experimental application of rules of World Rugby. Los Pumas B under the rain was complicated clash against Los Teros, they scored two tries in the first half with the lock from Buenos Aires Ignacio Larrague and the second half with the Buenos Aires wing Sebastian Cancelliere. Brazilian referee Henrique Platais used the scoring system that is to be implemented in the future, with stops try worth 5 to have 6 points; penalty goal and drops 2 points, and conversion still worth 2 points.

Argentina XV with four Dogos (Córdoba’s Provincial Selection) in pitch: the center Joaquín Paz,  wing Franco Cuaranta, loosehead prop Franco Brarda, and tighthead prop Eduardo Bello, supported two tries a line-maul; and another with deployment to the back line. The fullback from La Plata, Pedro Mercerat added a two-point penalty goal, while Los Teros scored a try with the center Andres Vilaseca, converted by flyhalf Martin Secco.

The Argentina XV on Saturday will visit The Condores at Santiago of Chile, for the concluding match the tournament, and there the second national team will travel to Romania to play the Nations Cup in Bucharest between 11 to 18 June.

Sexteto cordobés en Pumitas al Mundial M20 de Manchester 2016, formado por Lautaro Bazán Vélez, Ignacio Calás, Juan Cruz Mallía, Franco Molina,  Santiago Pulella y Conrado Roura, forma parte del plantel de 28 jugadores con que Los Pumitas M20 disputarán entre el 7 y 25 de junio el mundial M20 de Mánchester, en el centro-norte de Inglaterra. Son acompañados por el manager Marcos Caldo, el Fisioterapeuta Ricardo Carvajal y el Preparador Físico Juan Ignacio Covassi. Los Pumitas enfrentarán en el Grupo C de la primera fase a Francia el martes 7 de junio en el  AJ Bell Stadium,  donde también se medirán con  Sudáfrica el Sábado 11 de junio y con Japón el Miércoles 15 de junio. They are accompanied by the Manager Marcos Caldo, the fisioterapist Ricardo Carvajal and the trainer Juan Ignacio Covassi. The Pumitas face in Pool C of the first phase to France on Tuesday 7 June at  AJ Bell Stadium, where they also will meet  South Africa on Saturday June 11 and Japan on Wednesday June 15 . Monday 20 played the Semi-finals and  on Saturday 25 the final. In the Pumitas U20 highlights the ''veteran'' scrum half of the Provincial selection los  Dogos and Córdoba Athletic Club, Lautaro Bazán Vélez with two U20 world cups on shoulder (New Zealand 2014 and Italy 2015) and as captain of the Pumitas Seven U18 at the Youth Olympic Games in China 2014.

En el cuarto partido en el estadio Vélez Sársfield, los Jaguares encajaron su tercera derrota casera frente a los Sharks de Durban que hicieron doblete al ganar por 25-22, sumando el 19-15 del pasado 5 de marzo en Sudáfrica. Por lo que la franquicia argentina se aleja de los ‘’Play off’’.

Más allá de las interpretaciones arbitrales del sudafricano Marius van der Westhuizen (asistido por los jueces de línea rosarinos Juan Hernán Sylvestre y Damián Schneider), la indisciplina de Argentina costó 18 puntos, por 6 penales (5 de Patrick Lambié y 1 de Lourens Adrianse). Por lo tanto Lambié fue el Matador de los Jaguares que marcaron tres ensayos con Tomás Lavanini, Martín Landajo y Santiago García Botta, más un penal y dos conversiones de Nicolás Sánchez,  Ahora viene la segunda y última gira sudafricana de los Jaguares  visitando los Stormers y los Kings. Como decir, que sigue el aprendizaje, más que nada disciplinario, ya que costó otra tarjeta amarilla al flanker porteño Pablo Matera, además de la evolución en la performance física en scrum, mauls y rucks, que tienen una nueva generación fogueándose. Precisamente viajan a Sudáfrica los pilares cordobeses Enrique Pieretto Heiland (pilar derecho) y Facundo Gigena (pilar izquierdo). Tras los dos encuentros en Ciudad del Cabo y Port Elizabeth, seguirá una pausa hasta julio por la ventana de junio. Allí reaparecerán los Pumas para enfrentar en el programa otoñal, a Italia en la ciudad de Santa Fe y a Francia en dos ocasiones en la ciudad de San Miguel de Tucumán. Hay equipo.

Jaguares y Sharks se enfrentarán mañana en Vélez Sársfield por la undécima fecha del Super Rugby 18, a las 17:40 en la  revancha del choque del pasado 5 de marzo en el Kings Park de Durban donde los ‘’Tiburones’’ ganaron con lo justo por 19-15. Ahora se trata de revancha entre la franquicia capitaneada por el hoocker platense Agustín Creevy y el escuadrón sudafricano donde vuelve a la capitanía el apertura Patrick Lambie tras  recuperación física jugó uno minutos hace una semana anotando 1 penal y 1 gol.

Los Sharks vienen de imponerse en Durban a los Hurricanes de Wellington subcampeones salientes, por 32-15 con 4 tries de  J.P Pietersen (2), Michael Claasen y Daniel du Preez, y 2 conversiones y 1 penal de Garth April  y 1 penal y 1 conversión de Pat Lambie.
