Los Pumas 7s de la nueva generación y liderados por el capitán Germán Schulz, se preparan a debutar en el  Seven de Singapur, la octava etapa de la Serie Mundial 2017/2018 y  que lleva a la recta final de la temporada: Londres y París, en preámbulo  al mundial de San Francisco de julio 2018. Tras la pausa reparadora del Seven de Hong Kong (6/8 de abril), Los Pumas 7s capitaneados por Germán Schulz y donde destacan Lautaro Bazán Vélez, Luciano González Rizzoni y Maximiliano Filizzola, concluyeron la preparación para debutar en el grupo C ante Canadá, el último campeón en Singapur 2017.
Canadá entrenado por el inglés Damian McGrath, le ganó a Estados Unidos por 26-19 en la final del año pasado, y está 11º  con 44 puntos por lo que debe enfrentar en difícil grupo, al  actual líder de la serie mundial, Sudáfrica (126 p.),  a  Argentina 4º  con 90p. y a  Samoa (12º ) con 43 unidades.

 El plantel entrenado por el porteño  Santiago Gómez Cora y el tucumano Leonardo Garavano,  enfrentará el sábado a primera hora (00:44 hora argentina) a Canadá, luego a Samoa (04:12) y finalmente a Sudáfrica (08:00) en la fase clasificatoria a los cuartos de oro.
“Encaramos el torneo con mucha seriedad y como viahamos con equipo nuevo estamos puliendo algunos detalles que ya habíamos trabajado para Hong Kong, por lo que  vamos a llegar bien y eso es lo importante”, sentenció Lauti  Bazán Vélez, que ha disputado todas las etapas de la Serie Mundial 2017/2018.

Lautaro Bazán Vélez (Córdoba Athletic), con  Germán Schulz (Tala RC) y Luciano González Rizzoni (La Tablada), son referentes del plantel  encabezado por Gastón Revol (La Tablada) y Conrado Roura (Palermo Bajo) que tomaron descanso.  Mientras que regresó Maximiano  Filizzola (Maristas de Mendoza).

The Pumas 7s of the new age led by Captain Germán Schulz, are preparing to debut at Singapore Sevens, the eighth stage of  World Sevens Series 2017/2018 and that leads to the final stretch of the season: London and Paris, in preamble to the San Francisco Seven World Cup on July 2018.
After the restful pause of Hong Kong Sevens  (6/8 April), the Pumas 7s captained by Germán Schulz and where Lautaro Bazán Vélez, Luciano González Rizzoni and Maximiliano Filizzola, concluded the preparation to make their debut in Pool C, against Canada, the last champion in Singapore 2017.  Canadian-trained Englishman Damian McGrath, who beat the United States 26-19 in last year's final, is 11th with 44 points for what he must face in a difficult pool, the current leader of the world series, South Africa (126 p.), to Argentina 4th with 90p. and  Samoa (12th) with 43 units.

The squad trained by Santiago Gómez Cora from Buenos Aires and  Leonardo Garavano  from Tucumán,  will face on Saturday at the first hour (00:44 Argentinian time) to Canada, then to Samoa (04:12) and finally to South Africa (08:00) at the qualifying phase to gold  quarters finals.
"We face the tournament very seriously and as we travel with new team,  we are polishing some details that we had already worked for Hong Kong, so we are going to get it well and that is what is important", said Lautaro Bazán Vélez, who has played all the stages in World Sevens Series 2017/2018.
