Concluirá mañana en Buenos Aires por huso horario, la octava jornada del Super Rugby 15 en el Estadio del Club Vélez Sársfield (18:40), con el choque entre los Jaguares y los campeones salientes, Crusaders de Canterbury, que se presentan como favoritos por 18 puntos, en su primer visita a Argentina.

Los Jaguares vienen de ganar hace dos semanas en el mismo recinto porteño a los Lions de Johannesburgo,  y ello significó el 2º segundo triunfo ante 4 derrotas de la franquicia argentina entrenada por los porteños Mario Ledesma y Nicolás Fernández Miranda y el entrerriano Martín Gaitán.

La escuadra argentina disputará su último encuentro como local, para emprender después una gira por Australia. Mañana propondrá a la pareja de centros titular, ya que junto al tucumano Matías Orlando, regresa el rosarino Jerónimo De La Fuente tras superar lesión.

Para destacar: al dúo formado por el medio scrum mendocino Gonzalo Bertranou y el apertura tucumano Nicolás Sánchez; y el quinteto del pack  integrado por los entrerrianos Javier Ortega Desio, y  Marcos Kremer, los porteños Pablo Matera (c) y Tomás Lavanini, y el cordobés Matías Alemanno.

En la última y única vez que se enfrentaron, los Crusaders ganaron 32-15 en Christchurch en Super Rugby 18 de 2016 con tries de Andy Ellis, Israel Dagg (2), Richie Mounga y Kieran Read,  mientras que el santiagueño Facundo Isa y el porteño Santiago González Iglesias marcaron los tries de Jaguares.
