Córdoba y Cuyo se enfrentarán mañana a las 16:10 (televisado en directo por Espn 3) por la cuarta fecha del 72º  Campeonato Argentino de Mayores ’’Ángel Guastella’’, en desafío donde no tienen márgenes de error. El visitante del Córdoba Athletic Club encabeza el torneo y está a un paso del título. El local porque debe remontar un cuesta arriba de inusitada dificultad.

Las Llamas de Mendoza luego de tres jornadas donde cosecharon dos victorias ante Tucumán y Rosario  y un empate con Buenos Aires, se encuentran en la antesala de conquistar su segundo cetro en la máxima confrontación nacional , repitiendo aquella performance de 2004, e igualando nivel del trío  Córdoba, Tucumán y Buenos Aires vigente en la última década.

El rugby de Mendoza es pretendiente al título de campeón nueva generación representada por el medio scrum de los Jaguares y de los Pumas, Gonzalo Bertranou (hijo de Miguel, destacado flanker  de Los Pumas), que  hoy conduce el juego de los backs junto al centro Tomás Granella y  propone un scrum y un juego de delanteros con notable potencia y dinámica. Frente a esa realidad ocurre recuperar performances en un rugby cordobés que tiene nivel de experiencia internacional como destreza individual en jugadores de notable jerarquía como tridente integrado por Lautaro Casado Sandri, Rodrigo Bruno y Gonzalo Rúiz, quienes en sus respectivos sectores dieron muestra de capacidad para liderar  forwards y backs. Junto a Córdoba-Cuyo, destaca el gran clásico del norte con Tucumán que recibe  a Salta escuadra en franco desarrollo desde la tercera posición y en partido a disputarse en  Universitario RC, donde se buscará la segunda posición en manos de Buenos Aires que visita a Rosario que intentará recuperarse en las Cuatro Hectáreas del Jockey Club de Rosario.
