Los Selknam chilenos con más actitud que el Peñarol uruguayo en debut - The Chileans Selknam with more attitude than the Uruguayan Peñarol in debut

El empuje en el scrum favoreció a Selknam 

En un histórico desafío en el mítico estadio Charrúa de Montevideo, los Selknam chilenos le ganaron al Peñarol uruguayo por 15-12 (9-10) en la primera jornada de la primer Super Liga Sudamericana de rugby. Ahora se completará la ronda inaugural con Ceibos de Argentina y Olimpia Lions de Paraguay, el viernes a las 21:30 en el Tala RC de Villa Warcalde. Con actitud y bien plantado en los 80 minutos de juego, los Selknam se llevaron la victoria al otro lado de la Cordillera, jugando con un nombre menos en la escuadra comandada por el octavo cordobés Rodrigo Bruno y el medio scrum rosarino Patricio Baronio. Festejó Selknam, por un gran golpe en el torneo, siendo la primera sorpresa bajo la dirección técnica del uruguayo Pablo Lemoine. A Peñarol entrenado por el rosarino Pablo Bouza, no le alcanzó para ganar no obstante el refuerzo de jugadores namibianos, sudafricanos, argentinos, colombianos  y  portugueses.

The Chileans Selknam with more attitude than the Uruguayan Peñarol in debut

In a historic challenge at the legendary Charrúa stadium in Montevideo, the Chilean Selknam beat the Uruguayan Peñarol 15-12 (9-10) on the first round of the first South American Rugby Super League. The inaugural round will now be completed with Ceibos of Argentina and Olimpia Lions of Paraguay, on Friday at 9:30 p.m. at the Tala RC of Villa Warcalde. With attitude and well planted in the 80 minutes of play, the Selknam took the victory to the other side of the Cordillera de los Andes, playing with a name less in the squad led by the number eighth from Córdoba, Rodrigo Bruno and  scrum half from Rosario,  Patricio Baronio. Selknam celebrated, by a great blow in the tournament, being the first surprise under the technical direction of  Uruguayan Pablo Lemoine. Peñarol coaching by Pablo Bouza from Rosario, in Argentina, was not enough to win despite the reinforcement of Namibian, South African, Argentinians, Colombian and Portuguese players.
