Grupo C del IX Campeonato Mundial de Rugby Japón 2019, plena de insidia, y que
tiene Argentina y Tonga buscando superar sus derrotas ante Francia e Inglaterra
respectivamente. Y será el Hanazono Stadium el teatro de los sueños para
redimirse, a partir de las 01:45 de mañana. El entrenador porteño Mario Ledesma recuerda la
presión sobre Argentina, que en el VIII Mundial de Inglaterra-Gales 2015 fue
semifinalista con el entrenador tucumano Daniel Hourcade, y que en Leicester,
Argentina goleó a Tonga en la primera confrontación entre ambos por 45-16 con
25 puntos del apertura tucumano Nicolás Sánchez. Ahora Nicolás Sánchez es suplente, y el porteño
Benjamín Urdapilleta toma el relevo entre los tres cuartos, junto al cordobés
Santiago Carreras por el tucumano Ramiro Moyano como wing, del santiagueño
Tomás Lezana por el entrerriano Javier Ortega Desio como octavo y del porteño
Julián Montoya por el platense Agustín Creevy como hooker. Ledesma recuerda: "Nuestra mentalidad es muy
ambiciosa, tal vez, pero debemos hacer lo que nos propusimos hacer. Contra Francia
no lo hicimos (en los primeros 40 minutos cuando perdieron 20-3 al descanso.

“Contra Inglaterra (perdieron por 35-3), establecieron el tono del partido
desde la primera pelota, cuando frenaron
en seco una carrera de 20 metros a Billy Vunipola, y son fieles a su estilo,
mucho más ordenado y con mejor balón en mano; además, con muchos jugadores en clubes
europeos". Tonga ya derrotó dos veces a
equipos del Tier (nivel) 1 en 17 partidos
de Copa Mundial. El primero fue en Gales 1999 cuando le ganó a Italia y en Nueva
Zelanda 2011 a Francia. Solo dos equipos, Fidji (1987) y Francia (2011), han
logrado sobrevivir a una fase clasificatoria
después de encajar dos derrotas. Luego
Francia disputó la final en Auckland
perdiendo ante los All Blacks por 8-7. El capitán de Tonga, Siale
Piutau, tiene la esperanza de que su equipo pueda cambiar las probabilidades
como lo hizo Uruguay que le ganó al favorito (por 30 puntos o más, según las

they lost 20-3 at the break, before falling by 23-21), so this time we must
stay focused and overcome our mistakes”.
"The most dangerous teams are those who are not afraid to make mistakes.
No one can take anything (in the selection) for granted. Everyone who has put
on the shirt knows it; and what we see today (against Tonga) how to meet our
needs, it may not be like that in the next game (against England at Tokyo on
Saturday, October 5)", Ledesma said.
Also the Buenos Aires´s coach alluded to Tonga: “Against England (they lost

Tonga has already defeated Tier 1 teams twice in 17 World Cup matches. The
