Los seis partidos de la Ronda 14 del IV Super Rugby 2019, comienzan mañana viernes con los Hurricanes enfrentando a los Jaguares en el Westpac Stadium de Wellington, capital de Nueva Zelanda a las 19:35 (04:35 hora argentina), y donde los locales aparecen favoritos para la victoria. El árbitro será l neozelandés Brendon Pickerill. Será la segunda confrontación para los Jaguares en su gira de cuatro partidos por el Pacífico Sur. Habiendo perdido hace una semana en su debut por la Isla Sur frente a los Otago Highlanders en Dunedin, por 32-27. En la tabla general los Hurricanes suman 40 puntos en el 2º lugar por 28 de los Jaguares en el 8º escalón. El apertura estrella de los All Blacks y de los Hurricanes, Beauden Barrett, no estará ante Jaguares, ya que tendrá una segunda semana de vacaciones. Su primera semana de descanso fue hace un mes, cuando los Hurricanes ganaron a los Sunwolves en Tokio. El entrenador de los Hurricanes, John Plumtree, expresó que siempre el plan era dejarlo descansar el partido del viernes contra los Jaguares. "Todo fue planeado para que Beaudy tenga esta semana libre. El octavo Reed Prinsep es el segundo cambio para el equipo titular que venció a los Auckland Blues 22-12 la semana pasada. Prinsep tiene un corte facial, por lo que Ardie Savea será su reemplazante y Du'Plessis Kirifi va como flanker del lado abierto. Heiden Bedwell-Curtis va como pilar izquierdo. Hay otros dos cambios en el banco, ya que Chris Eves reemplaza a Fraser Armstrong, quien tiene una lesión menor en la espalda. En segunda línea regresan los porteños Guido Petti Pagadizábal  y Tomás Lavanini. El 5º es el flanker porteño Pablo Matera por el santiagueño Tomás Lezana, fuera del plantel. El 6º cambio será el medio scrum porteño Tomás Cubelli, que formará pareja de medios con el apertura porteño Joaquín Díaz Bonilla, cuando se esperaba el regreso del apertura tucumano Domingo Miotti. Será la tercera confrontación para los Jaguares contra los Hurricanes, la segunda en Nueva Zelanda, siendo el  primer encuentro en la temporada 2016 con los Hurricanes ganando 40-22 en Wellington, mientras que  2018  vencieron por  34-9  en Buenos Aires.
