Era el debut con la ansiedad del momento y los Jaguares ganaron a los Kings por 39-26 en la primera fecha del Super Rugby 18 disputado en el Nelson Mandela Bay de Port Elizabeth, donde el medio scrum mendocino -Gonzalo Bertranou fue el director de orquesta de la franquicia argentina.

Y su performance la inauguró Bertranou con un espectacular try (15’) que arrancó el reconocimiento local por la factura del gesto atlético. Y que fue completada por los tries del octavo rosarino Leonardo Senatore (53’) y del full back porteño  Joaquín Tuculet (56’).

Además hubo muy buena puntería de los dos goleadores porteños Joaquín Díaz Bonilla, autor de 3 penales (2’, 22’, 32’) y 1 conversión hasta el momento de su lesión, siendo reemplazado por Santiago Gonzalez Iglesias que sumó otros tres penales (40’, 47’, 50’) y 2 conversiones.

Los Kings anotaron dos tries con el wing  Makazole Mapimpi (66’), y del centro Luzuko Vulindlu (80’), mas 4 penales (4’, 6’, 8’ y 21’), y 2 conversiones del apertura  Lionel Cronje.

Ahora vienen   los Stormers en Ciudad del Cabo el próximo fin de semana, donde la escuadra entrenada por el rosarino Raúl Pérez, debe recomponer sus líneas defensivas y su disciplina, si se tiene en cuenta las dos amarillas a los porteños Felipe Ezcurra y Matías Moroni.

Now comes the Stormers in Cape Town next weekend, where the squad trained by Raul Perez from Rosario, should rebuild their defensive lines and discipline, if you take into account the two sin bin  to  Felipe Ezcurra and Matías Moroni from Buenos Aires.
