Nueva Zelanda buscará  repetirse como campeón  de Seven en la temporada  2012/2013  en ocasión de ser el anfitrión del Seven de Wellington, cuarta fecha de la Serie Mundial que tendrá lugar en la capital neocelandesa  entre mañana jueves y el viernes próximo.

Jugar en casa en el debut del año, trae beneficios a los All Blacks que lideran las  posiciones de la Serie 2012/13 con 14 puntos de ventaja sobre su rival más cercano. Mientras que “Les Bleus” franceses llegan a la cita en las Antípodas con alta moral y juego explosivo.

Con tres equipos diferentes como ganadores hasta la fecha, la serie está abierta y la presión sobre los All Blacks es fuerte por parte de la multitud en el Westpac  Stadium  de Wellington, donde Los Pumas debutarán ante Tonga en la noche del jueves, teniendo en cuenta las 16 horas adelante respecto a nuestro huso horario.

Además de Francia, habrá batalla entre Kenia y Argentina. Sólo un punto los separa ambas formaciones clasificadas en 6 º y 7 º en el escalafón mundial, por lo que se encuentran en un año decisivo. Completa una escuadra  en forma: la de Tonga.

El sorprendente Portugal cuenta con la segunda mejor clasificación en el Grupo, tras destacar en la copa de Plata con Semifinales en Dubai y Sudáfrica que demostraron calidad  para preocupar a rivales, mientras que Escocia busca conseguir progresando.

El Centenario Seis Naciones quiere ser como el flamante Cuatro Naciones

Estamos a menos de un mes del comienzo del Seis Naciones, la máxima confrontación en el hemisferio septentrional a partir del 2000, cuando se incorporó Italia y cuyos campeones salientes 2012 son los Dragones Rojos de Gales. Ma, a partire dall'inizio oltre centoanni fa in quello che è stato chiamato "Home Championship Nations" dal quartetto britannico Inghilterra-Scozia-Galles-Irlanda (1883-1909 e 1932-1939) e proseguita con il Cinque Nazioni quando hanno aggiunti la Francia nel 1910 (1910-1937 e 1947-1999), i punti per la vittoria sono solo due.

Quindi, ora i sei Unioni / oppure federazioni coinvolte, considerano da febbraio, il concetto del punteggio in vigore nel Quattro Nazioni, Super Rugby e anche nella Top 14 francese, l´inglese Premiership, ed in fine la Coppa Europa, Il Campionato europeo Heineken.

Ciò significa che si tratta di "conoscenza comune" i 4 punti per il vincitore, 2 per un pareggio, un bonus offensivo per loro chi segnano più di 4 mete, un bonus difensivo per perdere con un margine inferiore a 8 punti. Il Sei Nazione sta applicando tuttora l´insufficiente punteggio di 2 punti per la vittoria.

Così negli uffici della RFU (beh, semplicemente: "Rugby Union", senza specificare che è l´ Inghilterra, chi si attribuisce l'origine del rugby), a Twickenham, già sollevato il dibattito: prendere il sistema per il campionato, di ciò che si svolge nell´emisfero sud é che potrebbe essere una realtà.

Tradizione a parte, oggi è un riflesso il punto che può fare la differenza e forse per i tradizionalisti, i due punti sono nello spirito del gioco del campionato. Inoltre cosa accadrà al Cucchiaio di legno?; un "premio virtuale" a l´ultimo della classe e in cui la perdita di tutte le partite non può avere l'effettiva determinazione con il bonus.

Cosa fare, è messa giá in discussione nell´Unione Scozzese e nella Federazione Italiana, che sono i due candidati frequenti al non simpatico trofeo umiliante. "Ne abbiamo parlato quando ero presidente del Comitato dei 6 Nazioni nel 2008" , ha dichiarato el francese Jacques Laurans.

"Le persone spingono per l'introduzione di modifiche, sostenendo che le 6 Nazioni è l'ultimo camionato che ancora non ha adottato il sistema di punteggio. Ma questa decisione è troppo importante per essere presa solo per i membri. Si dovrebbe consultare le federazioni, perché ci sono vantaggi finanziari da ridistribuire secondo la classifica ", ha detto Laurans.

APASIONANTE FINAL DEL PRIMER CUADRANGULAR DEL HEMISFERIO SUR

Australia ganó una crucial victoria del sábado (25-18) en Argentina, lo que le permite completar las Cuatro Naciones en segundo lugar detrás de lo inesperado Nueva Zelanda, después de una campaña decepcionante en el juego.

Los Wallabies terminaron por delante de Sudáfrica gracias a  las 3 victorias, por 3 derrotas, contra 2 victorias, 1 empate y 3 derrotas de los Springboks. A la vez que los All Blacks terminaron invictos con 6 victorias en 6 encuentros sumando 26 puntos por 12 de Australia y Sudáfrica y 4 de Argentina.

Pero además Australia recuperó  el segundo lugar en el escalafón mundial desplazando a Sudáfrica del puesto de escolta del líder absoluto Nueva Zelanda.

Ahora el ranking IRB muestra a Nueva Zelanda con 93.35 por delante de Australia con 85.92 y Sudáfrica que cuenta con 84.69. Más atrás se ubica Inglaterra con 83.09, Francia 83.03, Gales 82.26, Irlanda 79.85, y Argentina en octava posición con 78.63.

Esta ubicación es importante mejorarla en la ventana de noviembre donde los Pumas enfrentarán a Gales, Francia e Irlanda, buscando tener buena posición al 3 de diciembre cuando tenga lugar el sorteo en Londres de los grupos de clasificación para el mundial Inglaterra 2015

Argentina en su primera participación al torneo de mayor prestigio en el hemisferio sur, no tuvo  victorias, pero sí  un empate ante Sudáfrica (16-16); y  Australia bajo presión de los críticos por  actuaciones muy mediocres, ganó con su estrella el wing Digby Ioanne que salvó los muebles en varios partidos del 4N.

El entrenador neocelandés Robbie Deans fue reivindicado en la selección australiana frente a una serie interminable de lesionados para asumir el desafío ante Argentina. Y el hombre del partido fue el novato full back y pateador Michael Harris que convirtió 20 puntos ante Los Pumas, incluidos cinco en la primera mitad para poner por delante Australia 15-9 al descanso.

Así ésta tercera victoria de Australia por 25-19 ante Argentina en el torneo de élite del hemisferio sur, le permitió terminar en igualdad de puntos con Sudáfrica, pero consiguió el subcampeonato en virtud de haber ganado más victorias que los Springboks.

Para el segunda línea y capitán Nathan Sharpe "La cancha era muy pequeña para  lo que estamos acostumbrados y la pelota era más húmeda de la que imaginábamos. Además en mi carrera, nunca ví a una multitud tan hostil, pero por suerte cumplimos con nuestro trabajo".

Está claro que los Wallabies aprovecharon la indisciplina de Los Pumas para que el goleador debutante Mike Harris convirtiera 6 de 7 penales factibles (18 puntos). Mientras que Los Pumas, que soñaban con conseguir un primer éxito  se quedaron en busca de inspiración ante el público s de Rosario. Pero al final llegó la gloria para el ídolo local, el wing Juan Imhoff que anotó ´con  vigor el ensayo del honor (76´).

Fue la despedida del histórico pilar Rodrigo Roncero quién a sus 35 años y con 55 selecciones en 14 años de carrera internacional decidió despedirse y decir adiós. Y la continuidad del entrenador Santiago Phelan que anticipó que seguirá trabajando en la preparación de la exigente temporada 2013.

THRILLING FINISH FOR A FIRST SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE FOUR NATIONS

Australia won a crucial victory on Saturday (25-18) in Argentina, allowing you to complete the Four Nations in second place behind the  New Zealand champions, after a disappointing season.

The Wallabies finished ahead of South Africa thanks to 3 wins, 3 losses, against 2 wins, 1 draw and 3 defeats for the Springboks. While the All Blacks finished undefeated with six wins in six games totaling 26 points for 12 of Australia and South Africa and 4 in Argentina.

But besides Australia regained second place in the world rankings since moving to South Africa like escort of leader New Zealand.Now the IRB ranking shows New Zealand with 93.35 ahead of Australia and South Africa with 85.92 with 84.69. More lies behind England with 83.09, France 83.03, 82.26 Wales, Ireland 79.85, and Argentina in eighth place with 78.63.

This location is important to improve it in the November window where the Pumas face Wales, France and Ireland, looking to have a good position to 3 December when the draw takes place in London from the qualifying groups for the England World Cup 2015 .

Tras la conclusión de los seis partidos que involucran a los 12 cabezas de serie para el sorteo de los grupos clasificatorios al mundial Inglaterra 2015, la tercera fecha de la serie otoñal europea destacó la debacle de Argentina que cayó por el resultado más abultado de la historia ante Irlanda por 46-24 y perdió su  sexto lugar del escalafón mundial  para derrumbarse al noveno peldaño, fuera de los ocho mejores donde Francia brilla al crecer frente a Samoa ganando por 22-14.

La fiebre del sábado por la noche fue celebrada por Francia que consolidó su cuarta posición en el ranking mundial hilvanando tres victorias de prestigio: 33-6 a Australia, 39-22 a Argentina y 22-14 a Samoa. Fue el único equipo del hemisferio norte a dar cuenta de los tres representantes del hemisferi sur en su agenda del otoño europeo. Y su figura fue el apertura Frederic Michalak, no solo por goleador, sino por estratega de Les Bleus.

Distinto el derrotero de Argentina que llegó a la cita europea jugando de mayor a menor ya que deslumbró en el cotejo inaugural ante Gales en Cardiff, para ir  decayendo en su performance frente a Francia en Lille y caer sin remedio ante Irlanda, que se impuso en toda la línea, infligiendo una humillante derrota a los Pumas, maniatados por sus propias limitaciones. Irlanda con un solo test ante Sudáfrica donde cayó por 16-12 estando en ventaja de 12-3, pudo mas que el rendimiento argentino ocho partidos seguidos.

Una mención especial para Samoa que disputó un tremendo encuentro ante Francia, y mereció mejor suerte pero le faltó determinación para concretar en el toque final. Ya lo había demostrado ganando en Cardiff a Gales, y que están para más. Muy buena la performance de Inglaterra que perdió por un punto ante los Springboks que se impusieron 16-15 en Londres, y de Italia que sometió a duro examen a los Wallabies en Florencia para perder por 22-19.

Está en juego las posiciones que asignan a los cuatro mejores de la segunda banda para el sorteo del próximo lunes 3 de diciembre en Londres, donde los cuatro máximos cabeza de serie son Nueva Zelanda, Sudáfrica, Australia y Francia.. Y donde la brecha de calificaciones entre los cuatro mejores y el resto es demasiado alta, por lo que está en  juego todavía los resultados de los dos últimos partidos del próximo sábado 1 de diciembre entre Inglaterra v Nueva Zelanda y Gales v Australia.

Inglaterra e Irlanda se confirman  como la segunda banda a partir del quinto al octavo puesto, y si Gales evita la derrota ante Australia, Gales y Samoa se llevarán los otros dos lugares en disputa por lo que Argentina quedaría relegada al noveno lugar, es decir a la tercera banda. Pero si Australia derrota a Gales, entonces Samoa y Argentina se llevarán los puntos para la segunda banda, desplazando Gales junto a Italia, Tonga y Escocia  en la tercera franja clasificatoria.

Si bien las clasificaciones oficiales se publicarán el lunes al mediodía (hora británica, las 9 de la mañana en Argentina), las posiciones provisorias son las siguientes:  1°) NUEVA ZELANDA - 92,91, 2°) SOUTH AFRICA - 86,94, 3°) AUSTRALIA - 86,31

PUMAS COLLAPSED AGAINST IRELAND AND FRANCE GREW AGAINST SAMOA

Following the conclusion of the six games involving the 12 seeded draw for the World Cup qualifying groups England 2015 in the third round of the European autumn series, highlighted the Argentina debacle that fell by the highest scoring of history against Ireland, lost by 46-24 and the sixth place  in the IRB rankings, collapsing  for the ninth rung outside the top eight; to grow where France shone against Samoa winning by 22-14.

Fever Saturday night was held by France which consolidated their fourth position in the world ranking with three wins prestigious threading: 33-6 to Australia, 39-22 to Argentina and 22-14 to Samoa. It was the only northern hemisphere team to realize the three representatives of the southern hemispheric agenda in European autumn. And her figure was the flyhalf Frederic Michalak, not only scorer, but was the strategist of the Les Bleus .

And where the ratings gap between the top four and the rest is too high, so the stakes yet the results of the last two matches on Saturday December 1st between England v New Zealand and Wales v Australia.

England and Ireland are confirmed as the second band from the fifth to eighth place, and if Wales avoid defeat against Australia, Wales and Samoa will be the other two places in dispute, so that Argentina would be relegated to ninth place, at the third band. But if Australia defeats Wales, Samoa and Argentina  take the points for the second band, displacing Wales with Italy, Tonga and Scotland in the third qualifying strip.
