Jaguares XV por
Argentina y Cobras Brasil XV, postergaron por padecer Covid-19 el plantel
brasileño, mientras Peñarol Rugby de Uruguay ganó a Olimpia Lions de Paraguay por
40-11 y Selknam de Chile batió Cafeteros Pro de Colombia por 35-12.
El partido inaugural
entre argentinos y brasileros, se frustró porque los Cobras presentaron un
total de 11 casos positivos de Covid-19 por lo que Peñarol XV y Olimpia Lions abrieron
las hostilidades con cuatro tries a uno para los de Montevideo.
Peñarol XV alistó 13
jugadores argentinos donde destacó el octavo cordobés Conrado Roura, autor del
primer try, completando Manuel Nougues, Guillermo Pujadas y Santiago
Alvarez . El apertura santiagueño Martín Roger sumó 4 penales y 4 conversiones; el try colombiano fue
de Juan González.
Luego los Selknam
trasandinos arrollaron a los Cafetero colombianos por 35-12 con actuación
superlativa del wing chileno Matías Garafulic, autor de cuatro tries, siendo los
tres primeros en 15’ iniciales, en jugadas idénticas por la bandera.
Selknam se quedó con
la victoria y Cafeteros mostró un gran nivel de juego con el flanker cordobés
Aníbal Panceyra Garrido y el hooker riocuartence Agustín Acosta Bocco.

Selknam s'est retrouvé avec la victoire
et Cafeteros a montré un excellent niveau de jeu avec le flanker de Córdoba, Aníbal Panceyra Garrido et le talonneur du Río
Cuarto, Agustín Acosta Bocco.
