Los Jaguares motivados por tres victorias
consecutivas, al ganar a los australianos ATC Brumbies de Canberra por 20-15 (17-15)
en la ronda 11 del IV Súper Rugby 2019, y en el estadio del Club Vélez
Sársfield en la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, suman 23 puntos (un partido
menos jugado), en la Conferencia Sudafricana liderada por Natal Sharks con 26 (un
partido más), y seguido de los Bulls de Pretoria con 24 (y 1 partido menos
jugado). En la clasificación general de las
tres conferencias (Australiana, Neozelandesa y Sudafricana), los Jaguares están
en 6º lugar con 23 puntos junto a los
Stormers de Ciudad del Cabo que están en 7º lugar por lo que crece la ilusión
de competir en zona playoff por los cuartos de final.
El sábado, los Jaguares recibirán precisamente
a Stormers en cancha del Club Vélez Sársfield a las 18:40 y es clave para ambas
franquicias. Completaron las ronda 11, Crusaders 36-Lions
10; Sunwolves 0-Highlanders 52; Hurricanes 47-Chiefs 19; Waratahs 15-Sharks 23
y Stormers 24- Bulls 23. Los tres líderes de la Conferencia
ocupan las posiciones 1 a 3 (Crusaders 39, Sharks 26 y Rebels 24). La cuarta
posición es para el mejor equipo ubicado en general: Hurricanes de Wellington
que suma 32; y las posiciones 5 a 8 serán ocupadas por los equipos en orden de
su clasificación en base a los puntos ganados durante la temporada. Los play offs por Cuartos de final: Equipo
1 vs Equipo 8, Equipo 2 vs Equipo 7, Equipo 3 vs Equipo 6, y Equipo 4 vs Equipo
5. Los Jaguares se mostraron ante los
Brumbies como bien concentrados y determinados pero sin continuidad ni
disciplina y una vez más el flanker/
segunda línea entrerriano Marcos Kremer con tarjeta amarilla dejó al equipo
jugando con 14 en momentos trascendentes. Marcaron para la franquicia nacional,
el wing porteño Sebastián Cancelliere, el centro tucumano Matías Orlando y el
hooker platense Agustín Creevy y la franquicia australiana apoyó dos tries con Folau Fainga’a y Tom Banks. Los
cordobeses Santiago Carreras, Enrique Pieretto Heiland y Juan Cruz Mallía, hicieron
un desempeño sobresaliente, tanto en el aspecto defensivo como en el ofensivo.

The
Jaguares motivated by three consecutive victories, winning the Australian ATC
Brumbies of Canberra by 20-15 (17-15) in the 11th round of IV Super Rugby 2019, at Vélez Sársfield Club
Stadium in the Autonomous Buenos Aires
City, added 23 points (one game less played), in the South African Conference
led by Natal Sharks with 26 (one match more), and followed by the Pretoria
Bulls with 24 (and 1 game less played).
In
the overall standing of three
conferences (Australian, New Zealand and South African), the Jaguares are in
6th place with 23 points with the Stormers of Cape Town who are in 7th place,
so is the illusion of competing in the playoff zone of the quarterfinals.
On
Saturday, the Jaguares will receive precisely Stormers on the pitch of the
Vélez Sársfield Club Stadium at 18:40 and is key to both franchises. Round 11
completed, Crusaders 36-Lions 10; Sunwolves 0-Highlanders 52; Hurricanes
47-Chiefs 19; Waratahs 15-Sharks 23 and Stormers 24- Bulls 23.
The
three leaders of the Conference occupy positions 1 to 3 (Crusaders 39, Sharks
26 and Rebels 24). The fourth position is for the best team located in general:
Wellington Hurricanes that totals 32; and positions 5 to 8 will be occupied by
the teams in order of their classification based on the points won during the
season. The
playoffs for Quarterfinals: Team 1 vs. Team 8, Team 2 vs. Team 7, Team 3 vs.
Team 6, and Team 4 vs. Team 5. The
Jaguares were shown to the Brumbies as well concentrated and determined but
without continuity or discipline and once again the flanker / lock from Entre Ríos, Marcos Kremer with yellow card,
left the team playing with 14 in transcendent moments. They
scored for the national franchise: the wing from Buenos Aires Sebastián
Cancelliere, the centre from Tucuman Matías Orlando and hooker from La Plata City, Agustín Creevy, and
the Australian franchise scored two tries with Folau Fainga'a and Tom Banks.
Cordoba’s players Santiago Carreras,
Enrique Pieretto Heiland and Juan Cruz Mallía, they made an outstanding
performance, both in the defensive and in the offensive aspects.
