Irlanda favorito ante Argentina en debut de la última serie del invierno-otoño europeo- Ireland favorite against Argentina in debut of the last European autumn-winter series

Bajo la lluvia y el intenso frío polar, Irlanda, campeón del Seis Naciones 2018, enfrentará mañana a Argentina en el templo del Lansdowne Road de Dublín, como favorito para ganar por 18 puntos en lo que será el debut de la última serie del otoño-invierno europeo, ya que nuevos cambios se presagian en el calendario internacional tras la IX Copa Mundial de Japón 2019, como es un futuro Super 12 global. En éste comienzo del choque norte-sur,  se abre dos desafíos con gran protagonismo: Irlanda (2º) y Argentina (9º), se enfrentarán en ese teatro de los sueños que es el célebre Lansdowne Road, y el telón se levantará  también para Inglaterra (4º), que recibirá a Nueva Zelanda (1º) en la catedral de Twickenham  con el favoritismo para los dobles campeones mundiales, ganadores  por 18 puntos. El programa inaugural se completa con Gales (3º) que será anfitrión en el Principality de Cardiff de Australia (6º),  y donde los Dragones Rojos son favoritos por 8 puntos; mientras que Francia (8º) hará lo propio en el Stade de France de París, ante Sudáfrica (5º), quién se propone favorito para ganar por 7 puntos en el más estrecho marcador de la jornada inaugural. Corren con ventaja Irlanda que viene de arrollar Italia 54-7 en el Soldier Field de Chicago,  Nueva Zelanda a Japón en el Ajinomoto Stadium de Tokio  69-31; Inglaterra  con lo justo a Sudáfrica 12-11 en partido complicado para el árbitro australiano Angus Gardner, y Gales que le ganó  a Escocia 21-10 en el  Principaity de Cardiff,  y que le costó a los Highlanders bajar al 7º lugar del escalafón mundial. En Irlanda vs Argentina, el entrenador neozelandés  Joe Schmidt recupera al apertura y goleador Jonathan Sexton, al segunda línea Iain Henderson, y al pilar derecho Tadhg Furlong , uno de los mejores del mundo. 

 Argentina que ha perdido seis de las últimas siete confrontaciones  contra Irlanda apunta a su apertura y goleador el tucumano Nicolás Sánchez, pero que no tendrá a su socio de aventuras, el medio scrum mendocimo Gonzalo Bertranou, reemplazado por el porteño Tomás Cubelli. El scrum argentino sigue siendo la gran materia pendiente.

The Argentinian  scrum remains the great pending matter.
