Los Pumas 7s, máxima expresión del rugby argentino debuta en Seven de Sydney- Pumas 7s, top expression of Argentinian rugby makes debut at Sydney Sevens

Hoy los Pumas 7s están en 5º  lugar por detrás de Nueva Zelanda (1º ), Sudáfrica (2º ), Fidji  (3º ) e Inglaterra (4º ) y han recuperado a dos jugadores emblemas como son Gastón Revol, su capitán y Fernando Luna, el ariete, que estuvieron ausentes en Ciudad del Cabo por lesiones.

Desde su 5º lugar, Argentina 7s  enfrentará el sábado en grupo B a Francia (8º),  Kenia (11º ),  y Gales (14º ) . Ante Kenia a las 05:06 del viernes 26 de enero y luego enfrentará a Gales, a las 01:47 del sábado 27 y culminará la ronda clasificatoria con Francia a las 04:58 del mismo sábado.

Argentina ante Kenia ganó 25 veces, perdió 14 y empató  1 vez, con Gales ganó 18 y perdió  23, empatando 1 vez y con Francia ganó 33 veces y perdió  26, sin empates.

Tras una superlativa performance concretada en el Seven de Ciudad del Cabo, donde el público sudafricano estuvo de su parte, Argentina enfrentó en la final a Nueva Zelanda dejando su impronta en la segunda etapa del Circuito Mundial de Seven 2017/2018, donde está en quinta posición.

Los Pumas 7s bajo la batuta de Lautaro Bazán Vélez y la destreza de Conrado Roura, Luciano González Rizzoni y Maximiliano Filizzola, empujaron el plantel entrenado por el porteño Santiago Gómez Cora y el tucumano Leonardo Gravano, a una actuación inolvidable por su contundencia.

En la final, los All Blacks vencieron a los Pumas 7s por 38-14  y  fue la gran revelación en Sudáfrica. Con gran protagonismo de Conrado Roura (Palermo Bajo), Lautaro Bazán Vélez (Córdoba Athletic), Luciano González Rizzoni (La Tablada) y Maximiliano Filizzola (Maristas de Mendoza).

Today  Pumas 7s are in 5th place behind New Zealand (1st), South Africa (2nd), Fiji (3rd) and England (4th) and have recovered two emblematic players such as Gastón Revol, their captain and Fernando Luna, Ram, who were absent in Cape Town for injuries.
From its 5th place, Argentina 7s will face on Saturday in pool  B to France (8th), Kenya (11th), and Wales (14th). Against Kenya at 05:06 on Friday  January 26  and then face Wales, at 01:47 on Saturday 27 and culminate the qualifying round against  France at 04:58 on the same Saturday.
Argentina against Kenya won 25 times, lost 14 and drew 1 time, with Wales winning 18 and losing 23, drawing 1 time and with France winning 33 times and losing 26, without draws.

After a superlative performance in the Seven of Cape Town, where the South African public was on their side, Argentina faced in the final to New Zealand leaving its mark on the second stage of the World Tour of 2017/2018, where it is in fifth position.
