Mañana los Auckland Blues recibirán a los Jaguares en desafío equilibrado y en lo que representa el debut argentino  en gira por el Pacífico Sur, y con objetivo de conquistar los play-off, ganando en  North Harbour (al norte de Auckland)a las 03:35 (hora argentina). Ambos equipos jugaron cuatro y ganaron uno en lo que va del torneo, con Blues sorprendiendo al ganar en debut a los Otago Highlanders, para encajar tres derrotas seguidas frente a los Christchurch Crusaders, Wellington Hurricanes, y Melbourne Reds. Los Jaguares ganaron a los Cheetahs en Bloemfontein y cayeron ante los Sharks en Durban, los Waikato  Chiefs y los Stormers de Ciudad del Cabo. Además, ya recibieron cuatro amarillas en sus primeros dos partidos, en el desafío de adaptarse a intensa competición semanal. Los Jaguares  proponen offloads (descargar pase en compañero más próximo) y ante Los Cheetahs emplearon mayor cantidad de acciones defensivas por partido, en lugar de ‘’guardarla más’’ como dice el segunda línea Matías Alemanno, con descanso por dos semanas. Precisamente mañana en North Harbour estarán ausentes por reposo además de Mati Alemanno, el capitán  Agustín Creevy, Juan Martín Hernández, Juan Manuel Leguizamón y Joaquín Tuculet entre otros, y se complica la gestión tras perder con lo justo ante Chiefs y Stormers. Los Auckland Blues se sienten  mejor a pesar de tener también una victoria inicial en cuatro partidos y con una semana de descanso en la quinta fecha. Los Blues igualaron con los Brisbane Reds 25-25 y perdieron ante Crusaders, Hurricanes y Reds. Para los apostadores son ganadores por cuatro.
