Los Jaguares van por una
apuesta fuerte contra los Bulls de
Pretoria.
Jaguares go for Super Rugby
Playoffs 15, and against Bulls are favorites
The Jaguares are going for a
strong bet against the Bulls of Pretoria. After two weeks of rest after a
historic tour of the South Pacific, which allowed them to climb to second place
in the South African Conference behind the Lions of Johannesburg, favorites to
win the Bulls are presented.
The Argentinian franchise trained by Mario Ledesma and Nicolás Fernández Miranda from Buenos Aires and Martín Gaitán from Entre Ríos, proposes a squad led by a consecrated couple formed by fly half Nicolás Sánchez from Tucumán City and scrum half Gonzalo Bertranou from Mendoza City.
The captain will be the flanker Tomás Lezana from Santago del Estero City, heading the strategic bottom line that completes with Javier Ortega Desio as numer eighth and Marcos Kremer as open flanker, both from Entre Ríos Province.
The Bulls as the Sharks of Durban equal with the Jaguares in 24 points at South African Conference, so the challenge of Vélez Sársfield stadium is transcendent for the Argentinian franchise that is favorite by 10 points against the Bulls, while the Sharks will face the Waikato Chiefs in Durban with winning probability.
In the scrum Agustín Creevy from La Plata City goes by Julián Montoya from Buenos Ares in the place of hooker and in the three of the bottom back line, they change by injuries of Ramiro Moyano from Tucumán and Joaquín Tuculet from La Plata City. Emiliano Boffelli from Rosario City, left wing goes as fullback, Bautista Delguy from Buenos Aires goes by Moyano as right wing and Sebastian Cancelliere from Buenos Aires goes as left wing.
In the Bulls trained by coach of the United States Eagles, the New Zealander John Mitchell, after qualifying for the 2019 World Cup in Japan, took the leadership of the Pretoria franchise. Mitchell will debut as an fly half Manie Libbok replacing the starter, Springbok Handré Pollard, who goes as center and will be the captain in the absence of Burger Odendaal, injured; like the giant Lood de Jager in the second row, where he will be replaced by Jason Jenkins forming with Rudolph Snyman for the first time in the season.
In the third line Thembelani Bholi is added to Roelof Smit and Marco van Stad, and the prop of the Springboks, Trevor Nyakane will replace Lizo Gqoboka as the loose head prop.
There will be battle in several points: with Creevy and Adriaan Strauss in front row, in midfield between Matías Orlando from Tucumán, and Jesse Kriel with rivalry in Pumas vs. Springboks moved to Super Rugby. But fundamentally on the launch pad between scrum half Gonzalo Bertranou and Ivan van Zyl. It will be the third confrontation for Los Jaguares and the Bulls, with the Argentinian franchise winning 29-11 at Buenos Aires in 2016 and with the Bulls 26-13 at Pretoria in 2017.
