Mientras que su compatriota Steve Hansen, tiene un mes de reflexión para preparar a los All Blacks con  la inminente Rugby Championship 2017 ante Pumas, Springboks y Wallabies (en triple desafío) y la gira del otoño-invierno europeo frente  a Barbarians, Francia, Escocia y Gales. En el Eden Park de Auckland, All Blacks y British & Irish Lions terminaron hace 12 años la serie por 3-0 para los  neozelandeses en 2005. Hoy la serie terminó 1-1 y compartida: All Blacks 30-15  el 1º  en el Eden Park el sábado 24 de junio, y Lions 24-21 el 2º en el Westpac Stadium de Wellington el sábado 1º  de julio.

Por lo que el pasado sábado 8 de julio al  empatar 15-15 en el Eden Park de Auckland sentenciaron la igualada y compartieron el trofeo en la conclusión de 10 partidos donde los Leones Británicos e Irlandeses ganaron 5 (1 test) , empataron 2 y perdieron los restantes 3 (1 test). Los Lions ganaron 5 encuentros a partir del 13-7 a  Barbarians Neozelandeses el 3 de junio, un 12-3 a  los Crusaders el 10 de junio, 32-10 a  los All Blacks Maoríes el 17 de junio, 34-6  a los Chiefs el 20 de junio y 24-21 a los All Blacks el 1º  de julio en el 2º  Test-Match. Pero conocieron el rigor de los Hurricanes, que les empataron el martes 27 de junio 31-31 en el 7º  partido de la gira por Nueva Zelanda y el sábado 8 de julio en el 10º  y heroico partido final por 15-15. Y donde los All Blacks aparecieron como más mortales, descendiendo a una realidad terrenal. Las tres derrotas dejaron su impronta a partir de la primera ante los Blues de Auckand por 22-16 (2º partido y que fue  la más dura que se haya realizado alguna vez),  frente a los Highlanders por 23-22 (4º partido, calificado por el Coach Warren Gatland como ’’Suicida’’), .y el 1º Test con All Blacks por 30-15.

El  neozelandés Warren Gatland, elegido por segunda vez  entrenador-jefe tras la victoria de 2-1 en la serie de Australia 2013 ante los Wallabies, es ahora candidato a dirigir a los Lions en la gira a Sudáfrica de 2021 y en ésta ocasión la pulseada con su paisano Steve Hansen coach All Black terminó en tablas. Las giras forman parte del corazón del rugby, a tal punto que se hizo carne la frase "cuando me muera no quiero ir al cielo, quiero irme de gira". El punto inicial de éste tipo de giras comenzó en 1987, cuando un grupo de británicos viajó a Australia y Nueva Zelanda a disputar una serie de partidos de cricket. En 1988 inicia el  origen de los Lions, y que más tarde fueron los  British & Irish Lions. En esa épica  de 8  meses,  murió en accidente su capitán, Robert Seddon, y  fue la génesis del significado de éste seleccionado inglés, galés, escocés e irlandés: vale más vestir la camiseta roja de los Lions que la de su propio país. Los porteños de Hindú, los cordobeses de Tala, máxima expresión del rugby federal

Hay definición del rugby del Interior con el  rugby porteño. Es la proclamación al mejor club de rugby de Argentina y que saldrá de la disputa entre los porteños del Hindú Club y los cordobeses de Tala RC. Y viceversa.

Hoy ellos son los mejores del rugby argentino a nivel de los restantes 14 clubes clasificados: 8 del interior y 6 del ámbito porteño. Son la mejor expresión del momento, por jerarquía, determinación, contundencia, solidez en las formaciones fijas y espontáneas, actitud en los puntos de contacto y sobretodo velocidad de reflejos en la alta intensidad de partidos donde mantener la dinámica y continuidad física, resulta un verdadero desafío. Ahora, ya en el tercer milenio, Hindú Club y Tala RC se disputarán un cetro federal en toda su magnitud, como es la expresión del Nacional de Clubes A, el sábado 29 de julio ya que el Elefante le ganó al Belgrano Athletic en Virrey del Pino 45-31 y el Perrito Salchicha a los platenses de San Luis, por  47-35. Casi idénticos marcadores. 

El club de Don Torcuato en el conurbano bonaerense, ganó el Nacional en siete ocasiones y es el actual bicampeón. El club de Villa Warcalde es el tri campeón de Córdoba y ambos vienen de clasificar como mejores segundos en sus grupos, y en cuartos ganaron de visitantes; en semifinales resolvieron la promoción con clase. Tala fue local ante San Luis e Hindú fue visitante frente a Belgrano, y la final debería jugarse en Don Torcuato.  Pero la UAR podría tomar la decisión de una doble jornada con el amistoso Argentina XV vs. Toulon, siendo los escenarios factibles las canchas del Atlético San Isidro  o la del Club La Plata en Gonnet. Se define mañana lunes.

With no chance of progressing to the playoffs, the Argentine franchise will travel to Australia on Sunday to play the last two games against Waratahs and Rebels.

The Jaguars will face the Port Elizabeth Kings at the Vélez Sarsfield club stadium in Buenos Aires to complete the 15th day of the first round in the 2017 Super Rugby. At the Africa 2 conference, the Jaguars are 3rd with 24 points and the Kings 4th with 19 units. The Argentinean franchise will not count on injuries with the flanker Santiago Tomas Lezana, the second line from Buenos Aires Tomas Lavanini, the Tucuman wing Ramiro Moyano, the hooker from the Argentine Agustín Creevy, the entrerriano flanker Javier Ortega Desio, the Rosario center Jerónimo De la Fuente and the second line Entrerriano Marcos Kremer.
