El Campeonato Argentino de Mayores, tiene las horas contadas ya que será  suprimido  en  2018. Según el ‘’Management’’ de la UAR (la Unión Argentina de Rugby, federación que rige los destinos de la pelota ovalada), se suspende por razones de potenciar  la actividad competitiva federal de los clubes del país. Es tal el grado de perplejidad que no se puede salir del asombro de tamaña determinación por parte de la UAR, de ‘’resolver por unanimidad suspender para el 2018,  la realización del Campeonato Argentino de Mayores, en los niveles Campeonato, Ascenso A y Ascenso B’’. 

Como decir, que el 73º  Campeonato Argentino de Mayores que se disputará  entre el  4 de noviembre y 2 de diciembre, será la última edición de lo que es la piedra angular  del rugby argentino, nave insignia con sello de pertenencia del hemisferio sur donde se privilegia el desarrollo de las Uniones provinciales.

Como decir que tanto Australia, Nueva Zelanda y Sudáfrica (donde Argentina es  parte de éste hemisferio austral) , reniegan de sus raíces fundadas en el NRC, Campeonato Nacional de Australia, Mitre Cup, torneo máximo de las provincias en Nueva Zelanda y Currie Cup, histórico certamen de Sudáfrica.

Argentina tiene sus raíces en la Uniones provinciales, al igual que Australia, Nueva Zelanda y Sudáfrica. Con la fortaleza que genera un Cuatro Naciones (el Rugby Championship) y el Super Rugby, basado en  franquicias de cada Unión Provincial, que alguna vez tendrán que crear también las uniones regionales argentinas.

According to the UAR's Management (the Argentinian Rugby Union, federation governing the destinies of the oval ball), the Argentinian Senior Championship  has been counted since it will be abolished in 2018,  to strengthen the federal competitive activity of the country's clubs.

As can be said, the 73rd Argentinian Senior Championship to be played between November 4 and December 2, will be the last edition of what is the cornerstone of Argentinian rugby, flagship with seal of membership of the southern hemisphere where it is privileged the development of  Provincials Unions. 

Like Australia, New Zealand and South Africa (where Argentina is part of this southern hemisphere), they deny their roots based on the NRC, Australian National Championship, Mitre Cup, maximum tournament the provinces in New Zealand and Currie Cup, historic provincial tournament  in South Africa. Argentina has its roots in the Provincial Unions, as do Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. With the strength that generates a Four Nations (Rugby Championship) and Super Rugby, based on franchises of each Provincial Union, since they will also have to create the Regionals Argentinians Unions.
