Pumas and Wallabies with the
last breath for avoiding the Wooden Spoon
The last round of the VII Rugby
Championship 2018 says goodbye tomorrow Saturday with the fight to the last
breath to avoid the Wooden Spoon, the last prize in the table and will be at
stake between the Pumas of fly half from Tucumán Nicolás Sánchez, top scorer of
the event and the Wallabies who will trust the fly half Bernard Foley to raise
their heads. But the truth is, it will be in the scrum.
It is a challenge at the Padre Ernesto Martearena Stadium in Salta City, with a lot of pressure and where Australia arrives with the knife between their teeth and is favorite for 5 points in a match where there is not even the minimum margin of error; like the Springboks against the All Blacks three-time champions who are favorites for only 6 points at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth.

Argentina has the uncertainty of the scrum, to bash two consecutive triumphs
over Australia that visits for the first time the Salta City, in the extreme
north of the country, bordering Bolivia and that is the unknown for the
binomial Bernard Foley-Will Genia, before the duo formed by the fly half from Tucuman Nicolás Sánchez and the scrum half from Mendoza, Gonzalo Bertranou, the top players of Argentinian fifteen.
It is clear that for the Coaches from Buenos Aires, Mario Ledesma, Nicolás Fernández Miranda and Gonzalo Quesada, Pablo Bouza from Rosario and Martín Gaitán from Entre Ríos, as for the Australian Michael Cheika, and the players of both squads, it is a reflection pause before undertake the hard tour of the European autumn-winter, in November and against the stars of Six Nations.
A fifth defeat in six matches can leave Australia not only at the bottom of the table, but surpassed by Argentina in the world ranking. Something that has not happened for 10 years. The table after five rounds has the three-time New Zealand champion with 21 points, 14 from South Africa, 8 from Argentina and 5 from Australia.
