“No era lo que esperábamos, teníamos un equipazo, un grupo humano muy bueno y veníamos entrenando bastante bien, por lo que no merecíamos esta derrota así, por la mínima diferencia”, expresó el segunda línea Matías Alemanno, líder de los forwards cordobeses y que venía de anular un try tucumano en el primer tiempo.

Para Alejandro Molinuevo, el entrenador principal de Los Naranjas, “El equipo tuvo problemas, no estábamos acostumbrados a jugar con lluvia y no tuvimos el control de la pelota , mientras que Córdoba hizo un muy buen partido y los felicito. Respecto a Tucumán tuvo mucho hambre con diez minutos muy buenos en el segundo tiempo”.

“Capitalizamos un error de Córdoba en un line defensivo y pudimos allí marcar la diferencia. Estaba claro del que golpeaba primero y ganaba y Córdoba erró en el line y tuvimos la suerte a través de un “pick and go”  de generar un penal y cuando jugábamos la ventaja de generó un espacio para marcar”, precisó Caco Molinuevo.

Sobre el futuro Molinuevo resaltó “estamos muy contentos pero el campeonato argentino es muy corto, y no da para hacer futurología y hay que pensar en el sábado con Salta y sabemos que viene bien no solo por ganarle a Córdoba sino como le ganó a Alto Valle. Es un clásico del norte y lo bueno es jugarlo en casa”.

 Por el grupo 2  Las Águilas de Buenos Aires batieron Mar ganaba del Plata por 57- 0 en el encuentro disputado en el Atlético San Isidro, mientras que los Ñandúes de Rosario superaron  a Cuyo por 54-17.  Ahora Rosario recibirá Buenos Aires y Cuyo a Mar del Plata completando la primera fase.

Córdoba estaba 9-3  a los 72’,  con penales del apertura Francisco Lazcano (29’, 40’ y 59’), cayó ante Tucumán que había anotado un penal a los 65’  con el apertura Máximo Ledesma y que pasó adelante por 10-9 a los 73’ con el try del centro Matías Orlando convertido por Ledesma, tras jugada en el line armada por el octavo Antonio Ahualli.

Ahora los Dogos deben superar Alto Valle en su visita al sur del sábado para apuntar a ganar una plaza para el Campeonato Argentino de Mayores 2014, que estará formado por seis integrantes, y donde los cuatro semifinalistas de la presente edición  clasifican directamente.

El tercero y último encuentro del grupo 1 se disputará el sábado  donde Tucumán enfrentará a Salta y Alto Valle recibirá a Córdoba. A la vez que por el grupo 2 Rosario recibirá a Buenos Aires para dirimir el liderato definitivo del grupo de cara a las semifinales y Cuyo a Mar del Plata.
